Essential oils (or etheric oils) are the fragrant, volatile components of medicinal plants, herbs, flowers, fruits and seeds. Some plants have a strong fragrance to attract insects. Other plants use their scent to keep insects and diseases at bay. Each plant has its own unique aroma with its own specific application.
