Physalis Omega 3 vegan contains the polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids DHA (50%) and EPA (20%), derived from Schizochytrium algae. This is a sustainable source of omega-3, thanks to its smaller ecological footprint and its minimal impact on oceanic ecosystems. Our daily diet provides us proportionally with too much omega-6 and too little omega-3. For this reason, supplements with EPA and DHA are strongly recommended. DHA contributes to normal brain function** and normal eyesight**. EPA and DHA both contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure and normal triglyceride levels (the beneficial effects of which are observable with a daily intake of 3 g and 2 g of EPA and DHA respectively). Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells against free radicals.
